## pyre volume writeback

Show or set when a volume's writes are uploaded

### Synopsis

Writes land on the computer running the appliance at local speed; the
upload follows. It waits while the volume is being written -- a block
uploads once it has gone QUIET for a while and the whole volume has been
IDLE for a moment -- so a VM clone or a big copy runs at full speed and
the upload catches up when it ends. Whatever the volume is doing, no
write waits longer than the MAX AGE: that bounds how far the offsite copy
can fall behind (the RPO). Every upload is a batch that leaves the offsite
copy crash-consistent.

Profiles: vm (30s quiet, 10s idle, 15m max age: virtual disks), files
(15s, 5s, 10m: office files and mixed use), database (5s, 2s, 5m:
frequent small writes). The default is vm for iSCSI volumes and files
for SMB/NFS. custom takes the three values; default clears the choice.
A current appliance applies a change within a second.

```
pyre volume writeback <volume> [flags]
```

  pyre volume writeback vmdisks --profile database
  pyre volume writeback vmdisks --profile custom --quiet 45s --idle 10s --max-age 20m
  pyre volume writeback vmdisks --profile default
```
### Options
  -h, --help             help for writeback
      --idle string      custom: and only once the volume saw no write for this long (e.g. 10s)
      --max-age string   custom: no write waits longer than this (e.g. 15m)
      --profile string   vm, files, database, custom or default
      --quiet string     custom: a block uploads this long after its last write (e.g. 30s)
