## pyre volume compression

Show or set how a volume's new blocks are compressed before upload

### Synopsis

Every block is compressed before it is uploaded. zstd (the default,
level 3) is fast with a good ratio; higher levels shrink the upload
further and cost CPU on the computer running the appliance; deflate is
the older, slower choice; off uploads blocks as they are.

Levels: zstd 1-19, deflate 1-9. A change applies to NEW blocks from the
appliance's next start; blocks already stored keep what they were
written with and stay readable.
