## pyre update

Update pyre to the newest release

### Synopsis

Downloads the newest release for this platform, verifies the signed
checksums, and replaces this binary in place. Installs made with apt,
Homebrew or Scoop are updated by that package manager instead; this
command tells you the command to run (--force overrides that).

Where the release is fetched from is the profile's download_base
(default https://www.pyredata.io/dl); a self-hosted manager sets its
own and its own signing key (config key update_pubkey).

```
pyre update [flags]
```

### Examples

```
  pyre update --check
  pyre update
  sudo pyre update            # only for a system-wide install in /usr/local/bin
```

### Options

```
      --check   only report whether a newer release exists
      --force   replace the binary even if a package manager installed it, or the version is not newer
  -h, --help    help for update
```

### Options inherited from parent commands

```
      --api string       API base URL (default from the profile, or https://api.pyredata.io)
      --ca-cert string   PEM file with an extra CA to trust (self-hosted managers)
      --insecure         skip TLS certificate verification (lab use only)
  -o, --output string    output format: table, json or plain (default "table")
      --profile string   config profile to use (see: pyre config)
  -q, --quiet            print results only, no notices
      --token string     API token (default from the profile; prefer PYRE_TOKEN in scripts)
  -y, --yes              answer yes to every confirmation (for scripts)
```
