## pyre export keygen

Make an export key pair (for a volume that is not encrypted)

### Synopsis

A volume created without encryption is readable in storage, so an
export of it is sealed, while it is prepared, to a public key of yours.
This writes the private key to a file only you hold and prints the
public key: send the public key with your export request. An encrypted
volume needs no export key; its own key file opens the export.

```
pyre export keygen [flags]
```

### Examples

```
  pyre export keygen\n  pyre export keygen --out ~/keys/export-2026.key
```

### Options

```
  -h, --help         help for keygen
      --out string   where to write the private key (default ~/.pyre/export-<date>.key)
```

### Options inherited from parent commands

```
      --api string       API base URL (default from the profile, or https://api.pyredata.io)
      --ca-cert string   PEM file with an extra CA to trust (self-hosted managers)
      --insecure         skip TLS certificate verification (lab use only)
  -o, --output string    output format: table, json or plain (default "table")
      --profile string   config profile to use (see: pyre config)
  -q, --quiet            print results only, no notices
      --token string     API token (default from the profile; prefer PYRE_TOKEN in scripts)
  -y, --yes              answer yes to every confirmation (for scripts)
```
